Hi Steve. I enrolled in this course in June of this year. I’ve been progressing through the lessons in the order they appeared, and I’m currently working on “Invitation.” I find the lessons very good and believe they’re helping me improve my improvisation skills significantly. My instrument is the alto saxophone, and I also play a little piano. I wanted to ask you a question regarding the pentatonic scales you use in V7b9 chords. For example, in E7b9 you use the pentatonic scale: E, F#, G#, B, and D, but I’m surprised that you use the 9th instead of the b9. Why not use: E, F, G#, B, and D? Thanks and best regards.
