Hi Steve, I just purchased your course on pentatonics and found it very informative. But I have a question: is it possible to use a single pentatonic in a II V of a single measure?
For example, in /D-7 G7/ or in /B-7b5 A-7b9/.
Thanks and best regards, Roberto
Hey Roberto! Thanks for checking out the course! For ‘short’ ii Vs you can take the pentatonics presented here and use either one of them for these measures. I prefer to focus on the dominant chord on the short ii V’s so for |D-7 G7 | I would exclusively use the G Dominant Pentatonic and for a minor short ii V like | B-7b5 E7b9 | I would exclusively use the E7 Altered Pentatonic. I hope this info is useful – please let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for checking out the course!
